I am sitting at the Boulder County Public Library today. Don't get me wrong-- its a super cool library with a big fish ecosystem and a talking book return. But I'm still not happy that I had to bike here. Why? Because our internet is out. And I have a hunch as of why.
because our BASEMENT FLOODED.
Yes, you heard right-- the basement flooded. On a mountain. Don't ask me how that happens; the water table isn't anywhere near here, but I am not used to the whole mountain thing yet so it probably has to do with that. Anyway, we have a nice smell coming from downstairs, and the carpet has to be taken up. So now our house smells, our internet doesn't work, and its rainy.
Not the perfect day.
On a good note, I am extremely motivated today. Now that I've said that, I realize I need to motivate myself to go home-- before the rain starts again.
UPDATE: The rain started. And it poured. And I had to walk home in it. Think wet rat.
