The Great Bread Experiment

So I've decided to make bread.  From scratch. 

For those of you who know me, you'll remember that baking isn't something at which I excel.  But I "stumbled" on a recipe for easy-as-pie homemade artisan bread, and it kept calling to me. So after a little bit of thought and not much preparation, Chris and I headed to the local Superfresh and got flour, yeast, and cornmeal and came home to attempt the impossible.

We didn't have the exact amounts of flour/yeast, so I cut the recipe down (probably a mistake).  So I mixed all the ingredients and have set it into the fridge to rise.  I will update this post every few hours to let you know how this goes.
