I had the most WONDERFUL morning.
Woke up at 9:30. Ate cheerios with crunchy kashi mixed in. Convinced Chris to get up and go the the Boulder Farmer's Market. What a good decision! There was SO much good food, so many samples, and so much cool stuff. Some woman was there advertising a used bike sale down the road. So we went with no real intention of getting anything. Chris already has a bike here, and I didn't really think I needed one. But the more I thought about it, the more I realized that it would be nice not to have to walk everywhere, and that I could easily get a lot farther a lot faster. So we started looking.
And we found it.
A beautiful, bright pink bike. A Schwind. And its fantastic. New tires, new wires, a water bottle holder.... awesome. So I tried it out, and it was love at first ride. Chris negotiated with the seller, and I the wonderful pink road bike for $80. And now it is sitting in the living room, propped against the wall, in its pearlescent pink glory.
Good purchase? I think so. =0)
This made me chuckle! Christopher even as a small child ALWAYS tried to negotiate prices. Once he went to Puerto Rico at the age of 6 or 7 and came home with a gigantic picture of Jesus because he was able to talk the price down to $10! Then he stored it under his bunk bed because at night the picture freaked him out! LOL
